Please note that we have no control over the privacy practices of websites or applications that we do not own. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of those third parties.

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, in which case we will update the “Last Revised” date at the top of this Privacy Policy, post the updated version on our Services and take any other steps required by applicable law. We collect information from or about you in various ways when you visit our hotels or interact with our services. We may also collect information about you from third parties.

Information we collect from you directly. We need to collect Personal Information from you in order to provide you with our Services, as well as to improve your experience. You may provide us with Personal Information in several ways, including, for example when you:

Make a reservation at, visit, or otherwise interact with one of our properties, including use of the WiFi and other services on property
Register for or create an account with us, including signing up for our loyalty program;

Information we collect automatically. We, and third parties on our behalf, may automatically collect certain information about your interactions with the Services and emails, including through cookies and other tracking technologies (“Tracking Technologies”). We collect
this information to better tailor your experiences with the Services, run analytics, and improve our services.

The Personal Information we collect from our hotel customers, prospective customers, and visitors to our Site and Application help us deliver our Services, personalize your stay, and improve your overall experience with us.

Reservation information, including arrival and departure dates, details of other occupants of the rooms booked such as names and ages, preferences (smoking room, preferred floor, etc.), travel reason;
Payment Information, including credit card or other payment information any spending or transaction history related to our Services, details of any purchase, subscription or service subscribed to, information relating to payment history such as payment terms, discounts granted, receipts, balances, and unpaid invoices.
Images or sound information, including photographs or information collected through closed-circuit television and other security measures at our property that may capture or record guests and visitors in public areas or for the protection of our personnel, guests, and visitors, where permitted by law.
Customer feedback information, including information gathered through post-stay surveys, guest feedback, or reviews posted to our Site or social media accounts.
Information relating to browsing on our Site or Application, including logs and connection data, computer hardware identification data, language preferences, geographical location data, data relating to your use of the Platform and Services, including information communicated to our teams when you make requests (language preference, etc.) information collected via cookies and other tracers.

If you are a job applicant, we may collect your contact information as well as certain information about you, including, race, ethnicity, previous employment and education history, references, information relating to disabilities, physical or mental health information, sexual orientation, veteran status, trade union membership, immigration or naturalization records, information relating to your criminal record and background check, interview notes, and any correspondence between us.

5. How We Use Your Personal Information

We primarily use Personal Information to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, but we may also use Personal Information for the following purposes:

To facilitate your interactions and transactions with us, such as to make reservations at our hotels or fulfill other requests for support or additional Services, in order to fulfil our contract with you;

To offer, manage, and administer our loyalty program, in order to fulfil our contract with you;

With The Yurt affiliates, in order to perform our contract with you and in our legitimate interests to run a successful business;

With law enforcement agencies, public authorities or other third parties if required to do so by law or if we have good belief that such sharing is reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, process, or request (such as a subpoena, court order, or warrant), or to comply with the legal or regulatory requirements from regulators or law enforcement authorities. We may also share your information to enforce our terms and other agreements (including investigation violations of such agreements), to detect or prevent fraud or security violations, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of The Yurt, staff, guests, or other third parties.

While we do our best to protect your Personal Information, no system or system for the transmission of information via the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure.

We retain your information for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes specified in this Policy. When determining the length of time to retain information, we consider various criteria, including whether we need the information to continue to administer your account, provide the Services, resolve a dispute, enforce our contractual agreements, prevent harm, promote safety, security and integrity, or protect ourselves, including our rights, property or products.

Use of Third-Party Services

Certain third-party services, websites, or applications that you use to navigate to and from our Site or to book a reservation with our properties may have separate user terms and privacy policies that are not covered under this Policy. The Yurt is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services or applications.

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children or other persons who are under 13 years of age (or otherwise considered a child in a relevant jurisdiction). Individuals who are children or those under the age of 13 should not attempt to provide us with any Personal Information.
