Breaux Bridge, the self-proclaimed Crawfish Capital of the World, hosts the annual Crawfish Festival in May. Rich in history and culture, you'll find a nexus of music and cuisine surrounding our town.
Maison Madeleine, built in the 1840s, is on the National Register of Historic Places and is nestled among lush gardens on the shores of Lake Martin. The cottage has been lovingly restored by owner Madeleine Cenac, and features bousillage walls (a mud and Spanish moss mix), antique-filled rooms, wide porches and an exterior staircase leading to the suite.

Bayou Teche is the most famous and the most handsomely-endowed bayou in the state.
